During 30 years as a financial services advisor, Chris Harbuck CLU, ChFC has watched his clients take more control of their financial planning and become increasingly sophisticated investors. He now sees a trend toward fee-based advisory services and outsourced investment management.

“I think this evolution … has been a very good thing for clients,” he said. He and Janice Watt, CPA, are partners in Generational Financial Advisors with offices in Shreveport and Marshall, Texas, and divide their time between the two locations.

“They want to see tangible results on their fi nancial statements at the same time they take on less risky investments,” he said. “The overriding concern for people is making sure their assets last them a lifetime.”

“We have five licensed fi nancial advisors and three administrative professionals with 140 years of combined experience in the fi nancial services industry,” Harbuck said.
