Internal Medicine Associates

Dr. Sally Ball of Internal Medicine Associates was born and raised in New Orleans, and is a graduate of the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, as well as Southern University in New Orleans.

Internal Medicine was an easy discipline to choose for Ball. “I love interacting with patients and establishing relationships,” she said. “I love taking care of the entire individual.”

Ball moved to Shreveport in 2006 and has practiced medicine for 17 years. Having a successful practice takes a lot of hard work and determination, and Ball said she had some wonderful mentors along the way.

“Two people were formidable in my career. One of them is Dr. Raja Dhurander at Touro Hospital in New Orleans. His example of physical exam techniques helped to shape my abilities,” she said. “Dr. William Buffet was my first partner out of residency. His assistance with transitioning from residency to private practice, and his love and care for his patients has made a lasting impression on me.”
