Century 21 Elite

Hayli Cagle is one local businesswoman who knows how to help people find their dream house—and turn it into a forever home. A full time realtor with Century 21 Elite, she received her realtor’s license in January, 2011. Now, four years later, she can’t imagine doing anything differently with her life.

“Real Estate is a great career industry,” said Hayli. “I love it because you’re either all in, or you’re out. There is no in-between. You have to give it your all every day. You truly have to love your job.”

And Hayli definitely gives it her all. “I love my job and the chance to meet new people,” said Hayli. “Everyone I meet has a different story to tell. It’s amazing what you can learn from other people and how they live. It’s also exciting how many friends you make in the process. I put everything I have into every sale I make, and that lands me some awesome friends and forever clients!” Having worked a stint as a waitress from the ages of 16 to 21, Hayli is grateful for how far she’s come in the last few years of her life. “I was still a waitress when I found out I was expecting my first child,” said Hayli. “It was very unexpected, and something I clearly was not ready for.”

But that big surprise turned out to be just the thing to point Hayli toward her new career. “It’s crazy how even before my daughter was born, she changed my life,” said Hayli. “I decided that I was going to work really hard to get somewhere and to be someone for her.”

She has now come a long way from her waitressing days. Since starting her new career in Real Estate, she’s received The Locals Love Us award every year. In 2011, she came into the running of the Top Five Most Loved Realtors in Shreveport Bossier and surrounding areas. In the past three years, she’s placed in the Top Five.

In 2015, she was very excited to receive her Master’s Diamond Award for Century 21. “I’m the top individual sales agent in my brokerage,” said Hayli. “But really, all that means is that I’m doing my job. I wouldn’t let myself be anything less! The job in itself is extremely rewarding. I truly enjoy doing it, awards or not.”

Hayli was first prompted toward Real Estate after having enjoyed her time working with a realtor while looking for properties for herself and her yet-to-be-born daughter. “The whole process of shopping for a home intrigued me, and the realtor and I talked quite a bit about real estate,” said Hayli. “I decided to take a shot in the dark. It was—and is—completely up to me and me alone as a single mom to make sure my daughter has everything she needs. She’s what inspires me, and that’s why I work so hard.”

Hayli is inspired by the familiar quote ‘love what you do and you won’t work a day in your life’. “That’s so true for me,” said Hayli. “You have to be motivated to make it. You have to want to make a difference!” Every day at work is a little different for Hayli. “You name it, I’m there. I do business anywhere I’m needed and rarely stay in one place long,” said Hayli. “There’s always an opportunity to be made, but you have to get out there, interact and do business— that’s how you grow as a real estate agent.”

Her hard work is paying off. But, like with every new venture in life, there are surprises that tag along. “I had no idea how much patience I’d need starting this new career,” said Hayli. “I didn’t realize the extreme amount of work that was required to be successful in Real Estate.”

But there are more positives that make it worth the occasional stress. “I never knew how much going into the real estate industry could make such a difference in my life,” said Hayli. “To be able to help people and to be able to give them a good experience—there’s nothing comparable to the satisfaction of happy customers!” Hayli, like most career women, struggle at times to find the balance between priorities at work and at home. “My job is always open,” said Hayli. “It’s really hard to not bring it home with me. I live, breathe and even dream about real estate.”

But her passion for both her job and her young child helps her overcome. “I’ve done much better these past couple of years than in the first two years when I began,” said Hayli. “My main goal is to always be there for my daughter, so if she has a school function, a field trip or a party of some kind, I will be there. My goal is to not miss a thing. So far, I’ve done a very good job juggling.”

Unlike many realtors, she takes Sundays off work completely. “If I don’t, I won’t have a day off that week at all,” said Hayli. “Sundays are for mama’s house, and that’s definitely where you will find me. My family is very important to me.” Because of her priorities, She is able to relate to and emphasize with her clients as she helps them pick out the perfect home for their families. She understands, because she’s been there.

Hayli’s faith also helps her maintain the often chaotic balance of life. “Faith plays a major role in my life. I would worry myself to death if I didn’t have any faith,” said Hayli. “That’s what everything in this world is about right now. You have to always have faith that everything will turn out just like it’s supposed to, even though we may not understand why. Every ‘no’ leads to a ‘yes’ somewhere along the line!” Learn more about Hayli Cagle and her business at:
