Beth Woods is a professional educator with 30 years of experience in the field of education. As a native of Shreveport, La., Woods received her bachelor’s degree in education from Texas Christian University in 1986 and later earned her Master of Education from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Woods has held many positions within the education field, moving all the way from classroom education to peer coaching and, finally, administration. During her career, Woods has worked with all ages and learning abilities and fine-tuned her knowledge of how children learn and what motivates them to want to learn. Her expertise is unmatched in the Shreveport- Bossier community.

After 23 years of working in the school system and raising three boys of her own, Woods saw the lack of qualified education expertise in the community and began her own educational consulting company – At Home Academy. During the last eight years, she has built a reputation for working closely with parents and students to achieve their goals both in school and college. Woods delights in helping her students reach their goals for school and for their ACT/SAT exams, which in turn raises their self-esteem and creates harmony within their families.

Woods volunteers with Caddo Council on Aging and Community Renewal International as well as with her church, First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport.
