MUSIC | Mr. Lincoln’s favorite songs

Hear the songs enjoyed by Abraham Lincoln on the very instrument he used to listen to. On Saturday, Feb. 6, see the unveiling of the recently restored square grand piano made by Emilius N. Scherr of Philadelphia and dating to c. 1835-40. A costumed Mr. and Mrs. Edwards play host to Mr. Lincoln and guests for this special evening, which will include music from Mrs. Edwards’ songbooks, including some of Lincoln’s favorites. A wine-and-dessert reception will follow the event. Tickets are $50, and all proceeds from the event will support the restoration of the second floor of Edwards Place.
