Ross lost his wife last year in a tragic car accident and had to quit his job to take care of his daughter, Tina.

He is working again and received help a year ago from the Renesting Project.

Ross can’t afford health insurance and doesn’t qualify for Medicaid.

Ross brings Tina to the Interfaith Pharmacy. She needs insulin for her diabetes.

The volunteer pharmacist, Manuel, provides Tina with the lifesaving medicine she needs. Ross is grateful to Manuel for helping to save his daughter.

Ross received job training from Goodwill Industries and began working a better paying job. He participated in free financial literacy classes through the Bank On Northwest Louisiana program and opened a bank account. Both Ross and Tina have health insurance now, have their own home, and Tina is healthy.

“I am grateful that there are services available that saved my daughter. Now we are doing great, but needed the help at that time.”
