
JACK WHITE Jack White added to the folklore of the Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium on June 2 as he played to a soldout crowd. In two hours of relentless rock ‘n’ roll, White conjured up what may be described as a modern day snapshot of the Municipal’s past, awakening the ghosts of another musical age and Shreveport’s rock-hungry masses. The show was not short of nods to Shreveport’s musical roots. Not only did White explain to the crowd how he bypassed shows in Dallas and Memphis for Shreveport, but he reminded the audience to tip their hats to those who have come before them, those who make their jobs easier.
