 P.R.I.D.E. Awards The 2014 P.R.I.D.E. Awards banquet was hosted May 15 at the Horseshoe Riverdome in Bossier City. The annual event, presented by the Shreveport Bossier Convention & Tourist Bureau, honors star employees in more than 20 categories ranging from Outstanding Valet to Outstanding Hotel Executive. The evening’s final award, the P.R.I.D.E. Master Award, is the region’s highest honor among tourism and hospitality professionals. P.R.I.D.E. stands for “Proud Residents Involved in Developing our Economy.” The 2014 P.R.I.D.E. Master Award was received by Chris Giordano, president and general manager of the State Fair of Louisiana. Other top awards went to Capt. Sandy Jackson of the Spirit of the Red River Cruise – Outstanding Tourism and Hospitality Employee of the Year; Michell Wilson of Horseshoe Casino and Hotel – Outstanding Southern Hospitality Ambassador; Amanda Gouthiere of Shreveport Opera – Outstanding Attraction Professional of the Year; Tom Lubbe of Homewood Suites Shreveport – Outstanding Hotel Executive; and Brodie McMahon of CenturyLink Center – Outstanding Venue.
