JUNE 20: UNSCENE! WITH RICH TABLE (WITH DRIVE-IN MOVIE EXPERIENCE), Rich Table chefs Evan and Sarah Rich create a never-before-seen – or tasted – culinary experience of fresh-grown foods, a part of the “farm to table” movement. JULY 12: UNSCENE! WITH WAYNE WHITE: PUPPET PARADE, Wayne White, artist, art director, illustrator, puppeteer and subject matter of the documentary “Beauty Is Embarrassing,” comes to Shreveport for a six-week artist residency through the Shreveport Regional Arts Council’s UNSCENE! during which he will work with a team of local artists to create a large-scale puppet parade for the July installment of Unscene! on July 12. For the puppet parade, White combines his artistic skills and personal love of country music and the Louisiana Hayride to honor the historic Shreveport music radio program and artists of the era. THROUGH JUNE 14: “CHEESECAKE GIRLS,” The artist collaboration brings the “feminine, dark and moody … with lots of color” works of Stuart-Haas and the “vulnerable, precise, and a little unnerving” works of Bledsoe together in one tantalizing show.
