General Cancer Support Group Tuesdays, Noon Conducted by Eileen Czerwinski, MA, LPC Intern 4th Floor Conference Room A cancer diagnosis is very traumatic for patients, families and friends. This group is designed to help patients and their loved ones discuss the emotional challenges and other concerns often faced by patients with cancer.
Look Good, Feel Better Monday, Oct. 7, 11:30 a.m. Conducted by the American Cancer Society and Cosmetologists 4th Floor Conference Room A two-hour, hands-on workshop, includes a 12-step skin care/make-up application lesson, demonstration of options for dealing with hair loss and nail care techniques. Participants receive complimentary cosmetic kits and instruction booklets.
I Can Cope with…Loss of Energy, Weakness and Decreased Activities Wednesday, Oct. 9, Noon Presented by Katie Arsenault, PT 2nd Floor Conference Room This workshop is designed to assist patients and families find resources on symptom control through medications, nutritious eating tips and lifestyle changes that will be of value during and after treatment. Each month a new symptom will be discussed.
Man to Man: Prostate Educational Group Wednesday, Oct. 16, Noon Presented by Michelle Long, LPC 2nd Floor Conference Room An education program to give cancer patients and their loved ones information on prostate related issues that will be of value before, during and after cancer treatment. An opportunity to discuss concerns with knowledgeable healthcare professionals.
