Sleek Physique, a boutique exercise studio, is helping locals get fit – and have a blast doing so.

Lauren LeBlanc, owner of Sleek Physique, believes in her coined phrase “exertainment,” combining entertainment with exercise in order to keep clients motivated and fit. “My favorite part of my job is seeing the results,” LeBlanc said. “I’m blessed to be able to not only see their bodies improve but their confidence soar as well.”

Sleek Physique, which won best fitness club by SB Magazine in 2015, and best classes and instructors in Northwest Louisiana by The Times in 2016, is located at 6607 Line Ave. in Shreveport.

LeBlanc’s advice for those looking to start a fitness program is simple yet effective. “Find a workout program you enjoy and feel good about, and be consistent,” LeBlanc said. “Just get moving. Once you’re in the routine, start cleaning up your diet. Drink a ton of water, and cut out Cokes.”

LeBlanc believes it’s easy to become overwhelmed when making too many life adjustments at once. “It’s a process,” LeBlanc said. “Don’t go in on the first day in beastmode and hurt yourself. Ease your way into it.”

At Sleek Physique, LeBlanc and the other instructors are able to help start that process and adapt for each client as needed. “We show modifications for everything, so people need to just come on and start somewhere,” LeBlanc said.

LeBlanc taught aerobics in high school and loved not only the exercise but helping others foster a love for it. Later, when she married a man who owned a fitness center, it seemed a natural match. “I started running the club with him and began teaching again. Eventually, I decided to open my own place, to cater to the sleek physique” LeBlanc said.

“I was inspired to open Sleek Physique so I could reach even more people in our community,” LeBlanc said. “I love empowering women to become the best version of themselves. My clients know that I genuinely care about them and their fitness journey. They’re not just a number to me.”

Sleek Physique is opening a second location this month in order to accommodate more people. This new location at 6507 Line Ave., Suite F, in Pierremont Commons, will also offer part-time child care. LeBlanc hopes to grow the boutique over the next few years and eventually open a location in Bossier, as well.

LeBlanc has been very successful in her career, but at the end of the day, it's about helping others.

''I've had so many people tell me that they have never stuck with an exercise program until they joined Sleek Physique," LeBlanc said. "That makes my heart melt because that's exactly what I aim to do. I want them to have such a fabulous experience that they show up consistently - and before they know it, they are buying smaller clothes and feeling so much better from the inside out."

Sleek Physique offers a variety of classes, something for everyone.

"Our barre classes are very popular," LeBlanc said. "Celeb Barre from Beverly Hills is a fan favorite. I share the secrets of the movie stars. I always say, 'We work the barre like a star!'

The boutique is soon to be launching Celeb Barre on Vimeo DVD, providing clients with a chance to rent a class for the day for only $4, or purchase the DVD for $24.95.

"I'rn so excited about this," LeBlanc said. "I already have followers all over the United States that I mail DVDs to, so this will create easy access for people globally. "

Sleek Physique offers frequent specials for membership. The current special is to receive one month free up front when joining. Interested prospects can try any four classes for free within a lO-day periodo "At Sleek Physique, we' re a fitness family," LeBlanc said. "I aim to help make people feel and look their best !"
