Ree J. Casey-Jones Ree J. Casey-Jones is owner of Ree J. Casey, Attorney at Law, LLC. She has been an attorney in Louisiana for more than 10 years, working for the best interests of children and helping untraditional families learn to co-exist with multiple parents from different religious and socio-economic backgrounds. She is married to Darwin Jones, a captain with Caddo Parish Sheriff ’s Office and a Marine Corps veteran. She is also mother to 5-year-old Dawson Casey-Jones. Casey-Jones believes in family and living a life of worth and self-respect.

She is an advocate for children and invests time and money in their lives. Casey-Jones was born in Shreveport and educated in Caddo Parish public schools. She graduated with honors from Southern University in 2000 with a B.A. degree in mass communications and began a career as a contractor for the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Dallas. She entered law school in 2002 and graduated in 2005. Within the last seven years, Casey-Jones has primarily focused her practice in the area of family law in both district and juvenile courts. She is an advocate for family and helping adults to effectively and positively co-parent and always live a life that is in the best interest of their child/ children. Casey-Jones counsels women in the areas of marriage, selflove and respect. Through her work with Sigma Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. she is able to work with women on all levels, as well as young girls.


Deneé Locke Denee’ Locke is a Shreveport native, residing here with her husband and business partner. She divides her time between running two businesses, serving as a Caddo Parish School Board representative and spending time with her family. She has three adult children and one grandchild. While working with her husband in their building/ development business, Locke discovered an important missing aspect in the homes they built: storage and organization. She had the knowledge of construction and a passion for an organized home. After research, she founded Closets in Order Inc. to provide effective storage solutions to their customers. Locke has a heart and passion for service. While rearing her young children, this passion was directed toward their schools. As they became more independent, she ventured into the community to find a way to give back. Locke believes service is a lost art. This belief is portrayed in her diligence to serve her customers and her community. Locke has served as chairman of Providence House Domestic Violence Safe House. In that capacity she remodeled the leased property, creating complete site plans for areas of living, offices, therapy sessions, child care, kitchen/dining rooms, storage areas and common areas. She organized completion of all construction and worked with the committee and staff to choose paint colors, flooring, appliances, bedding, furniture and all essentials needed. Together, they created a safe “home” setting for more than 600 abused persons/families between 2009 and 2014. She also worked with staff to ensure they were equipped to serve persons fleeing abusive relationships.


Jamie Bradford Lopez Jamie Lopez was born and reared in Jena. After graduating high school, she graduated from Louisiana College with a Bachelor of Science. While in the advertising specialty field, Lopez, in an effort to find something more dynamic, started SOBO Promotional Products, LLC. Since 2009, SOBO Promotional Products has been recognized and nationally certified as a woman-owned business with clients in 27 states and three countries. Today, SOBO has 19 full-time and contract employees. Through extensive networking, Lopez has developed relationships with state and national leaders in order to familiarize herself with policy so she may champion matters for those who cannot, including being chosen as member of the WBEC-South’s Champion Program, where she assists fellow businesswomen with issues uniquely faced by women in business. Locally, Lopez volunteers with several non-profit organizations. She serves as president of the board for the Alliance for End of Life Care, a two-state, non-profit advocacy board for hospice and end-of-life care issues.

She has been married to David Lopez for 14 years.

In her business, Lopez employs almost all women. She encourages them to work from home, and she offers flexible hours. She offers training, business coaching and networking opportunities to every one of her team members, saying she doesn’t want them to think like employees but as entrepreneurs. In community service, Lopez has worked with Women Business Enterprise Council South, Muscular Dystrophy Association, United Way of Northwest Louisiana, Providence House, Welcome Home Hero and Community Foundation – Ready to Read.


Debbie Martin Debbie Martin is secretarytreasurer of Roberts and Murphy Inc., serving as general manager overseeing oil and gas properties in numerous states. She also serves as operations manager for Roberts Property Management Inc., overseeing regional real estate investments. Martin is involved in civic, political, cultural and community improvement locally through her involvement on numerous boards and with many organizations. Martin has been active on the board of the North Shreveport Business Association (NSBA) since 2006, serving as treasurer and president twice. Under her direction, NSBA has instituted annual fund-raising events in support of Operation Santa Claus, the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank and increased support of programs providing funding for special projects of the local police, fire and sheriff ’s departments. Her commitments have included the Northwest Louisiana Family Justice Center, North Louisiana Criminalistics Laboratory, Domestic Violence Task Force, Commission for Women of Bossier City and YWCA of Northwest Louisiana. Martin believes the greatest way she has impacted women in reaching leadership potential is through the Mentoring Program of the Commission for Women of Bossier City. As chairman of the program for three years, she assisted young women in reaching their full leadership potential, providing them the opportunity to experience various components involved in managing the legal, political, economic, cultural, volunteerism and educational areas of the community. The goal is to create future women leaders and ambassadors for the area. One of her roles was to encourage young ladies to be whatever they want, no matter what they have been through in the past.


Tiya “Ty” Scroggins Tiya “Ty” Scroggins has been successful with helping minorities and women improve their lives through entrepreneurship and community. Her leadership skills have impacted the lives of women to navigate economic empowerment and enlightment to achieve their goals. For 15 years, Scroggins has been creating future leaders not only locally but throughout the state and region. As a college student looking for ways to support herself, she realized she was interested in being her own boss. Based on what she learned from other jobs, Scroggins desired flexibility and wanted to be in a leadership position. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences and a MBA. While working on her MBA, she started Scroggins Consulting, LLC, with the goal of supporting and empowering firms to grow private companies and public agencies at all levels of government. Her goal has been to aid women to create their own companies to provide a secure financial future. She served on the boards of Goodwill of Northwest LA and SB Magazine and is a member of the River Cities Network.

Over the years, Scroggins has assisted womenowned businesses with obtaining federal contracts by teaching leadership skills, business development skills and contracting skills. She has mentored more than 25 women business owners over the past 15 years. Scroggins has shared her time with more than 25 women-owned businesses throughout the state assisting and empowering them with entrepreneurship. As a lead consultant she has trained more than 200 individual future business leaders.


Margaret Scott Shehee Margaret Shehee is president of Rose-Neath Funeral Homes and only the third woman to hold this office in its 85-year history. She is also secretary/treasurer of Kilpatrick Life Insurance Company, the largest domestic life insurer in Louisiana. For a number of years, Shehee has helped young women and men advance and achieve their educational goals by purchasing their livestock at the Junior Livestock Auction at the Louisiana State Fair. A specific example is Maggie Brakeville of Benton. Since Maggie was in middle school, she has shown and sold her animals at the fair, where she was always a top finisher. Each of these years, Shehee purchased Maggie’s animals in an effort to instill hard work and achievement. Maggie is currently serving as an intern in the U.S. Congress as a byproduct of Shehee’s influence and mentoring. Shehee is the first woman to be selected as an area director for the Louisiana State Police, showing women in law enforcement what can be achieved with hard work and perseverance. She has shown support to 4-H, Mystic Krewe of Louisiana and Region 7 Science Fair. Shehee has served as a member of the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana board since 2005. She has served as treasurer, secretary and vice chairman.

Most recently, she served as chairman of the board. The food bank has tripled the amount of food distributed to individuals in need and helped thousands of children, women, men, the homeless, elderly, disabled, unemployed and underemployed.


Sarona M. Snyder Sarona Snyder has worked in the commercial real estate industry for approximately 27 years. Her experience during this time has included management of a broad range of commercial property, which includes retail, office and medical office. She is currently serving as the director of commercial property management for Vintage Realty Company and is also responsible for the property management, leasing, construction management and brokerage of medical office property in the Shreveport/Bossier City markets. Snyder supervises a team of 22 individuals consisting of property managers and maintenance staff. Snyder received her Bachelor of Science in interior design with emphasis in construction management from Northeast Louisiana University. She has four children, three of whom are currently attending college at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is married to Matt Snyder. Snyder enjoys training others. The commercial property management department consists of all women property managers (with the exception of one male). On numerous occasions, they have hired at the entry level and have seen the potential of women in Snyder’s department, giving them the opportunity to learn and grow. For some properties within the portfolio, Snyder serves as asset manager, overseeing fiscal responsibilities and guidance of leasing agents seeking to lease space within the buildings for which she is asset manager. With this role, she is able to mentor and guide new leasing agents and to assist with their training and introduce them to the role of commercial property management and share how the two roles work together.


Kimberly Woods, D.C.

Dr. Kimberly Woods, D.C., is owner and chiropractor at All the Way Chiropractic in Shreveport. She grew up in Ruston and attended Louisiana Tech University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She continued her studies at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, where she obtained Bachelor of Science degrees in health and wellness and anatomy and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Woods truly cares about her patients and the community.

She lives by the Parker principle: “Loving service is my first technique.” Through the chiropractic health platform, Woods holds a monthly educational series devoted to women’s health.

Topics ranging from stress, sex and hormones to neuropathy are discussed at the “Dinner with Doc” series. She is making a difference in the lives of women physically, spiritually and emotionally through her care. By helping women become healthier, they are able to tackle their own leadership roles in the workforce, community and home. Recently, Woods was a sponsor, vendor and guest speaker at the 2016 Rouge Retreat, a women’s health event presented by Rouge Magazine. It was the first event of its kind in the Shreveport-Bossier City area and was an opportunity to connect with the community and reach a lot of women at one time to bring more awareness to the health benefits of chiropractic. Involved in several community service organizations, Woods supports events such as blood drives, free eye exams, back-to-school health check-ups and backpack drives for the Providence House.
