Deneé Locke Denee’
Locke is a Shreveport native, residing here with her husband and
business partner. She divides her time between running two businesses,
serving as a Caddo Parish School Board representative and spending time
with her family. She has three adult children and one grandchild. While
working with her husband in their building/ development business, Locke
discovered an important missing aspect in the homes they built: storage
and organization. She had the knowledge of construction and a passion
for an organized home. After research, she founded Closets in Order Inc.
to provide effective storage solutions to their customers. Locke has a
heart and passion for service. While rearing her young children, this
passion was directed toward their schools. As they became more
independent, she ventured into the community to find a way to give back.
Locke believes service is a lost art. This belief is portrayed in her
diligence to serve her customers and her community. Locke has served as
chairman of Providence House Domestic Violence Safe House. In that
capacity she remodeled the leased property, creating complete site plans
for areas of living, offices, therapy sessions, child care,
kitchen/dining rooms, storage areas and common areas. She organized
completion of all construction and worked with the committee and staff
to choose paint colors, flooring, appliances, bedding, furniture and all
essentials needed. Together, they created a safe “home” setting for
more than 600 abused persons/families between 2009 and 2014. She also
worked with staff to ensure they were equipped to serve persons fleeing
abusive relationships.
