Dance, planters’ breakfast have guests reeling

The 64th annual Plantation Ball continued its traditions of a formal presentation, Virginia Reel and old-fashioned plantation breakfast. Held April 22 at the Scottish Rite Temple as part of Holiday in Dixie, the event began as a way for area planters to squire their lovely ladies about. Sons of planters began being recognized in 1963. Twenty daughters and sons were presented this year. Colleen LeBlanc chaired the gala.
