Adsit, a Houston native, is a sponsor liaison and festival producer at
the Louisiana Film/Startup/Music Prize. On any day, you can spot her
looking stylish at the Prize’s office. Even on Film Prize Festival days,
Adsit’s style is on point showing her fun and creative personality.

Favorite piece in your closet? adsit: My current favorite is a leather skirt. I feel as though leather is more of a staple than a trend. Depending on how it’s styled, it can be very versatile.
Silver or gold?
Adsit: Go for the gold, always! However, I do like to mix silver in with the gold in the bracelet department. It makes for a nice contrast.
What is your style motto?
Adsit: I believe style is something to have fun with and should reflect your personality. For me, it’s adventurous, fun and confident. Confidence is key. If you don’t feel confident in it, you won’t look good in it.
Do you plan what you wear days ahead or wake up and pick it out?
Adsit: Most of the time I wake up, try about four different pieces on, and then end up wearing the outfit I had originally tried on; so basically, all I did was leave myself with a million items to hang back up.
Favorite accessory?
Adsit: I am a hat enthusiast. I’ve got about 15 different fedoras for all seasons in all colors. They are the perfect accessory – don’t feel like washing your hair? I’ve got a hat for that!
What is your “go-to” outfit?
Adsit: Working for the Louisiana Film Prize gives me a lot of flexibility in the outfit department. One day you can find me sporting a casual pair of denim jeans and a funky graphic tee with a pair of booties, and the next you’ll find me in a chic pencil skirt with a ruffled top and strappy black heels. It really depends on the mood I’m in and the meetings I’ve got planned for that day.
What is your style secret?
Adsit: I prefer investing in classic styles. I’m not much on trends. Sure, some I hop on board with for a while, but I’ve got staples from five years ago that I still get complimented on. It’s all about the material and how it fits your body. Pieces that are universally classic make deciding what to wear a lot easier. For trendier pieces, my go-to is Zara.
Who is your style icon and why?
Adsit: I can’t just name one. I’ve got a couple of different looks that I like to switch between. When I’m looking for a more sophisticated yet edgy look, my icon is Blake Lively. During the summer, Lauren Conrad. She’s got that effortless yet fun beachy look nailed down, and I love it.
What is your favorite local place to shop and why?
Adsit: Heart & Soul Boutique on Pierremont Road. They carry a lot of the styles and brands my taste tends to lean toward, and they are also super friendly. Check them out!
