Funds support Southern University scholarships

Area politicians and civic and community leaders rolled up their sleeves to serve and prepare dishes for the Southern University at Shreveport Foundation’s 15th annual Gentlemen’s Cooking Classic on June 21 at the Shreveport Convention Center. The theme for this year’s event was “Southern Cooking Meets Zydeco.” The Honorary Southern Gentlemen at this year’s event were attorney S.P. Davis, Pastor Joe Gant, Pastor Dennis Everett, Caddo Parish District Attorney Charles Scott, Wayne Brown and attorney Neil Erwin.
