Closets In Order is a locally owned and operated by Deneé Locke. She founded Closets In Order in 2003 as a result of her passion for organization and knowing that the closet is usually the most neglected room in the home when it comes to design detail. “ My husband, Matt, has been my mentor and encouraged me to take on this endeavor. I think he wanted me to stop making him crazy with organizing our personal home!” she jokes. “He is so very knowledgeable in the construction business as he has worked in it all of his life. We may not always agree to solutions when they are needed, but I always know he will be honest and has my best interest at heart.”

Locke’s fifteen years of experience in the residential construction business have allowed her to see first-hand that attention to storage and organization can improve the appearance of the main areas of a home. After one year of researching her options, Locke partnered with ORG Home.

Closets In Order is an ORG Home certified business and has been named a President’s Club Recipient every year since 2008 for exhibiting the highest quality and standards. Locke’s favorite part of what she does is creating satisfied customers whether it is a closet, pantry, laundry room or garage that needs a transformation. She enjoys seeing the peace and calm in them once she has created a storage solution that works and simplifies their life.

In addition to Closets In Order , Locke is also a past President and in her 6th year as board member at the Providence House, as well as a member of Women’s Philanthropy Network and a member of the Home Builder’s Association.

In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her husband and three adult children; Beal and Remi Locke, Saige Solomon and her husband, Chris. Saige and Chris are expecting in September, and Locke is thrilled about her new, upcoming role as grandmother. She enjoys playing tennis and spending time on their family houseboat as they do every weekend. The perfect weekend for her is when all of her children are in the same city and they spend quality, fun and relaxing time together.

Locke has lived in Shreveport her whole life, and loves the area. She notes, “I have pride in my work and in giving back to the community. I reared my children here and I hope my grandchildren will grow up here, as well.”
