Daliza Nova
Daliza Nova has joined the Urban College of Boston as the associate vice president of workforce development. As part of the academic affairs and workforce development team, Nova will take on strategic development, expanding and maintaining high-quality academic and workforce programs, improving and creating partnerships for graduate employment, and making sure that students enter workforce placements in sought-after jobs which support the region’s high-demand industries like early childhood education, behavioral health, human services and senior care.
Nova has robust success in leading partnerships, supporting business development and fostering organizational growth in public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
Her past work has focused on advancing economic equity and increasing the opportunities for underserved communities.

Before joining the Urban College of Boston, Nova was the head of development and strategy at We Are ALX, Inc., leading fundraising efforts and the development of partnerships with different industries. She also was the director of procurement and access at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), focusing on improving access to capital and resources for minority-owned businesses.
Nova earned an executive master’s degree in business from Hult International Business School and took part in global immersion experiences in London and Dubai. She also acquired a bachelor’s degree in economics from Hampshire College
