Are you “Certified Remedy Rocked” yet? Be sure to get your official recognition from the band at The Remedy show this weekend. The fun-rocking, six-piece group, including Steve Simac (bass), Joey Cavatorta (guitar), Harlin Swofford (drums), Dan Gordon (rhythm guitar and vocals), Don Stimac (vocals), and Lynn Saputo (vocals), live and work in the Springfield area, with two members (the Stimacs) from Edinburg and Joey Guitar, as friends and fans call him, hailing from Taylorville. Since forming around six years ago the band steadily climbed its way from shows in the surrounding towns to capital city gigs, adding more places all the time. With a set list including classics from ZZ Top, Violent Femmes, Pat Benatar and Georgia Satellites and modern radio hits from Pink, Weezer, KT Tunstall and Three Doors Down, plus a few other covers and choice originals, The Remedy serves up a good dose of music medicine to cure whatever ails you.
