 Visit the Illinois State Museum on Saturday, Sept. 22 for a fun family event that celebrates the plants and animals of Illinois via games, activities and crafts. Children ages 5 and up are invited to learn about famous women scientists, plant their own native plants, and take in two live animal presentations by Wildlife Prairie Park, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Admission to the “Biodiversity Live! Family Event” is free with museum admission, which is $5 for adults ages 19-64, and free to members, youth, seniors, military and veterans. Museum guests are encouraged to visit http://smithsonian.com/museumday to print a voucher granting two free adult admission tickets to the Illinois State Museum for Saturday, Sept. 22, in honor of Smithsonian magazine’s Museum Day.
