BAND SPOTLIGHT | 2 Tenutos as The Joey Tenuto Band

Many of us blues-rock fans and fans of other music will remember a fiery guitarist and singer from the Springfield area named Joe Tenuto who played the scene back in the day. Big, blonde Joe moved to Florida, kept playing blistering blues-rock and started a family. Now Joe and Joe Jr. are coming back to town, booking shows all over the area and tearing it up in a big way. The list of gigs lined up is amazing. It includes George Ranks on April 24, May 1, 8 and 15; The Alamo for Blue Monday on May 2; and Third Base on May 13, just for Springfield shows. They also play Chicago, Decatur (twice), Jacksonville, Beardstown, Urbana, Girard (twice), Keokuk, Iowa and Green Bay, Wisconsin, during this incredible run of live music. Along with Joe and Joey on lead and rhythm electric guitars and vocals plus a rhythm section from the home territory, expect random guest performances by local blues musicians with some serious guitar jamming going on.
