BAND SPOTLIGHT | Broseph E. Lee

On the move and in the groove, this six-piece, self-proclaimed “country-rock” band covers contemporary and country classics, but what really sets Broseph E. Lee apart is their catchy songwriting. With the recent completion of the CD EP Fill ‘Em On Up, Aaron Larsen (drums), Sean Halbrook (bass, vocals), Chace McNinch (keys, banjo, vocals), Brock Jones (acoustic guitar, lead vocals), Chris Yost (electric guitar, vocals) and Brooks Boyer (electric guitar) move one step closer to the big time. To help reach the next stage, the guys maintain steady gigs at fairs, festivals and clubs, often opening for national acts. This week after The Blue Grouch comes the Effingham County Fair with Craig Wayne Boyd. The next weekend is the coveted Friday night late spot at the Illinois State Fair Bud Tent, with an encore performance on Sunday evening. Sandwiched between the two fair gigs is an appearance at Music Fest III in Alton with Eddie Money. The rest of the month is about the same with action-packed shows every weekend. Sounds like a path to success.
