 FESTIVAL | Inclusion celebration The Phoenix Center will host the third annual Springfield PrideFest on Saturday, May 17, from 12-10 p.m. on Capitol Ave. between Fourth and Sixth streets. The free day-long celebration of diversity strives to offer something for everyone whether you are gay, straight, bisexual, transgendered, queer and no matter what your age. Headlining is the dynamic-performing Chicago-based rock band The Handcuffs. Also on the main stage, Capital City Men’s Chorus, Ben Bedford, Pride Factor Karaoke finalists, local Queen-tribute band Black Queen and two drag performances. A second stage will have an interfaith worship service followed by the music of Three Muses, A Day and A Wakeup, Angie Heaton, Josie Lowder, Lisa Webb and Summer Osborne. Plus, there’s food, drinks, a teen lounge and a kid’s area. See also
