FESTIVAL | Fun squared

A full day of fun is planned at the Jacksonville Main Street Downtown Celebration Saturday, May 17. The popular and versatile band Madd Hoss Jackson headlines the main stage from 6-10 p.m. World-traveling Randy “The Cowboy” Erwin takes the stage at 3:15. Touted by USA Today and the Los Angeles Times, he’s a hoot and holler of cowboy music, folklore, history and rope tricks. Other attractions include bike rides, fun run, hamburger cook-off, dancers, BMX stunt show, zip line, rock wall, trackless train circling the square, petting zoo, lip sync contest, airplane rides, face painting, games, food vendors, artisan exhibits, historic presentations and exhibits, nature walk, karaoke and more. A parade begins at 10 a.m. starting at College and Fayette, circling the square and ending at Grace United Methodist Church. Accessible parking is at Farmers State Bank and Trust parking lot.
