For a good cause, you can purchase one of 27 paintings depicting an Illinois landmark painted by local leaders and business people not trained in the arts, but talented just the same. Springfield Art Association hosts its lively public auction led by M.T. Vann on the evening of April 9. You can see the paintings by such Springfield celebs as Jeff Ambrose, Chris Britt, Amie Meneghetti, Amy Nelson, Mark Ridley and Farah Salim the night of the event or at United Community Bank on West Iles Avenue on Thursday, April 7, and Friday, April 8, during business hours. Tickets for Personalities Paint can be purchased in advance at the phone number above or at the door the night of the event, but a limited number are available.
