Joint Replacement Camp
Designed
for those who are considering or who have scheduled total hip or total
knee replacement surgery. The Willis-Knighton Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation Institute offers participants insight into the joint
replacement process, from pre-admission planning to surgery, follow-up
and rehabilitation.

Coping With…Cancer: Dealing with Bad News When Cancer Returns

will learn coping mechanisms to deal with the fears of their cancer
returning and when given a life expectancy from their healthcare
provider.
40 Minus: A Plus for Young Adults Living With Cancer
Thursday, Oct. 31, 4:30 p.m. 4th Floor Social Services Department 40
Minus focuses on helping participants improve their quality of life and
provides an environment for support through the cancer journey.
Men to Men: Oligometastatic Disease and Prostate Cancer
Wednesday, Oct. 25, Noon 2nd Floor Auditorium A workshop to give male cancer patients information on issues about their treatments and side effects.

Support groups at Willis-Knighton are provided at no cost to the participants. Reservations are required.

General Cancer Support Group

support group helps patients and their loved ones deal with emotional
needs or struggles and other challenges faced by patients with cancer.
Heart to Heart – Women’s Cardiovascular Support Group
A monthly group discussion of topics related to women with heart disease. Presenters: Rhonda Curtis, RN, and Susan Miller of WomenHeart: The National Coalition of Women with Heart Disease. Free. Reservations requested.
