LEWIS NAMED CHAIRMAN OF OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY David F. Lewis, M.D., has been named chairman of obstetrics and gynecology at LSU Health Shreveport. Lewis attended medical school, completed his internship and residency in OB/GYN at the LSU Health Sciences Center before completing his fellowship in Maternal- Fetal Medicine at University of California, Irvin. Lewis received his Master of Business Administration at the University of Kentucky.

Lewis previously served as professor and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern Alabama and professor and vice chair of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Cincinnati.

Lewis is the president-elect of the Central Association of Obstetricians and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

DR. JULIE CUPP ESTABLISHES WILLIS- KNIGHTON BREAST HEALTH AND SURGICAL SPECIALISTS Julie Cupp, MD, has joined the Willis-Knighton Physician Network and established Willis-Knighton Breast Health and Surgical Specialists at 7843 Youree Drive. The office is located next to the WK Breast Health Center at WK Portico Center.

Dr. Cupp earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with a minor in psychology from McNeese State University in Lake Charles and was accepted into medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Following medical school she completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Iowa, where she also performed two years of research in breast disease and parathyroid disease. She then completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

As a breast surgery specialist, Dr. Cupp not only offers breast surgery but also concentrates on the psychosocial effects on patients with breast disease.

Dr. Cupp accepts new patients and most insurance plans.
