RYAN MASTER, M.D., M.S., JOINS PIERREMONT CARDIOLOGY

Ryan Master, M.D., M.S., has joined Pierremont Cardiology, located in the WK Pierremont Medical Arts Building, 1811 East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Suite 210, in Shreveport.

A native of Shreveport, Master completed his undergraduate studies at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. He then earned a master’s degree in pharmacology from Tulane University with a focus on hypertension and pulmonary hypertension research. Master returned to Shreveport for medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center and then completed a residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern in Dallas. He elected to stay at UT Southwestern for a fellowship in cardiovascular disease as well as an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology.

Master treats adult cardiovascular disease including coronary disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease and cardiac arrhythmias. He performs cardiac catheterization and coronary stenting via both femoral (leg) or radial (wrist) arterial approach. His interests include preventive medicine, complex coronary interventions, peripheral arterial disease and structural heart disease interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).

MINH Q. TRAN, M.D., HAS JOINED GIAO N. DO, MD

Minh Q. Tran, M.D., a pediatric intensive care specialist, has joined Giao N. Do, MD, to provide intensive care services to children in the pediatric intensive care unit at Willis-Knighton South & the Center for Women’s Health.

Tran received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California at Irvine and earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed a residency in pediatrics at St. Joseph’s Regional Medicine Center in New Jersey though the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, serving as chief resident there. Tran then completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in conjunction with UH Hospitals, Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He has a special interest in pediatric pain and sedation.
