THROUGH JAN. 31: “SKETCHES FROM THE TRENCHES: JEAN DESPUJOLS IN WORLD WAR I, “The Meadows Museum’s new exhibition offers exclusive insight to a French soldier’s experience. On loan from the Despujols family, these drawings have never before been displayed. The exhibition features loans from the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and the R. W. Norton Art Gallery.

THROUGH FEB. 13: “SELFIES: FROM DIGITAL TO PHYSICAL,” Selfies, the president, rock stars, famous athletes and everyone in between have all become obsessed with self images on the cell phone. These icons of self reflection are the focus of Northwest Louisiana artist Amanda Roe’s most recent work opening at artspace.

JAN. 21: MARLENE YU MUSEUM ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY PREVIEW GALA, this ticketed event will kick off the one year anniversary new exhibition titled “Water - Element of LIfe” that will feature a variety of works from Yu’s series focused on water and ice related themes.
