Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport has named Robert Urland as general manager. Urland takes over the position from Mike Whitemaine, who has been named senior vice president of regional operations for Eldorado Resorts corporate division and will be based in Ohio.

Urland has been with the property since 2005, serving as director of food and beverage before being promoted to assistant general manager in 2008. As general manager, he will oversee all Eldorado Shreveport operations, including gaming, food and beverage, player development, human resources, entertainment and facilities.

He has worked in the Shreveport-Bossier gaming market for more than 18 years.
