After a comprehensive filing and structured review, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has awarded the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce with five-star accreditation.
“Our first five-star rating was achieved in 2008, and we are glad that we achieved this high rating again,” said Chamber President Richard H. Bremer.
“The U.S. Chamber awards a three-, four- or five-star rating to those chambers that complete the accreditation process.
“Currently, of the 7,000 chambers in our country only 76 enjoy the five-star rating. This prestigious honor puts us among the top 1 percent of chambers nationwide.”
Accreditation is the only national program recognizing chambers for their effective organizational procedures and community involvement.
Accreditation allows the chamber to continually renew, improve, and promote sound business practices, policies and procedures.
“Not only is five-star accreditation an honor,” said Murray W. Viser, chairman of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
“It recognizes the hard work and professionalism of the Shreveport Chamber staff,” Viser said.
“We especially want to thank all of our members who provide financial support that allow us to focus on the projects and programs important for our region.”
