One of the most exciting parts of producing this magazine is when the pieces are all gathered and displayed on our design wall for review. At that point, our vision comes alive or gets rearranged and edited so that it does. We evaluate the order of the stories, the images and how they are presented and flow. This colorful package is designed and created specifically for our readers. From your input we continue to develop and tweak this much-admired and widely-read magazine. We thank you for your enthusiasm and your feedback.
In every issue we joyfully share with you recipes, home design ideas, lifestyle stories, entertainment options and society photos. We also share heartfelt and inspirational stories by and about women, for women. We are very proud to offer a stellar lineup of superstars in this edition.

Fashion designer Katherine Way didn’t have plans to be in the fashion business. She had spent her career with big corporations, branding and launching new products in the high-stakes world of marketing. Along the way, she found there weren’t simple dresses that were flattering to women of different body types, comfortable to wear and readily available. As she began to wrap up her career in promoting other companies, she began a business plan and did the research for launching her own clothing brand, and her success has been incredible. Her garments may be found locally at Imelda’s.
It’s party time, and the season kicks off with Shreveport-Bossier Opera Guild’s Les Boutiques de Noël. The annual event is a holiday market with more than 100 vendors, and many visitors use this opportunity for much of their Christmas shopping. Themed “The Great Outdoors,” the market is Nov. 17-19 at the Bossier Civic Center and will feature a Thursday brunch and a “Glamping in the Moonlight” party on Friday.
Get an introduction to a few of the powerhouses behind the spectacular biennial super-party Christmas in the Sky, produced by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and hundreds of volunteers and artists. With mountains of food, oceans of liquor and with entertainment on multiple stages, the party is a sensory overload of sights and sounds. Beyond imagination, this 40,000-square-foot playground created for adults features 18 fabulous sets designed by area artists for the “We’re All Mad Here” extravaganza at Harrah’s Louisiana Downs.
