“Extraordinary” style show

The Woman’s Department Club held “An Extraordinary Fashion and Style Show Luncheon” on Sept. 15 at their historic headquarters at 802 Margaret Place. Fall and winter clothing from Dillard’s Department Stores were featured on the runway. The elegant setting was decorated for fall by Wendy Harper of Wendy’s Decorating Details. Food was from caterer Billie Goodson of Vivian. Guests dined on potato soup, fresh fruit salad, chicken salad served on baby spinach leaves, homemade biscuits and luscious cheesecake adorned with fresh fruit. Close to 100 ladies enjoyed the fashions, decor and food. Funds raised are for painting the exterior of the building in celebration of their 100th anniversary.
