The Krewe of Centaur held its 26th coronation Aug. 13 at Shreveport’s Riverview Hall. Themed “Mardi Gras Madness,” the event celebrated the splendor and whimsy of Mardi Gras. In addition to presenting this year’s royal court, guests enjoyed live music by Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs and participated in a silent auction. Centaur’s 26th parade will roll Feb. 18. Captain is Susan Shofner, and Jennifer Hammons and Eric Enkey are queen and king. Duke and Duchess of Food are Chris and Theresa Miller; Duke and Duchess of Fun, Jerry Kaczmarek and Gladys Choyke; Duke and Duchess of Fantasy, Robert and Cathy Zahn; and Duke and Duchess of Frolic, Tim Huck and Maria Kovacs.
