for a fantastic cause

The 7th annual Nest Fest fund-raiser was hosted on Aug. 6 at the Bossier Civic Center, benefitting Renesting Project. This organization provides gently used furniture and household items to clients of registered social service agencies as they transition from homelessness at no cost to them. The party featured New Orleans-inspired cuisine and décor. Live jazz music and street performers set the mood for a casual evening reminiscent of a night in the Big Easy. Over 1,400 men, women and children have been served by Renesting Project since January of 2010.
