Local celebs don chefs’ hats

Southern University in Shreveport Foundation hosted their annual Gentlemen’s Cooking Classic fund-raiser June 18 at the Shreveport Convention Center. This event features exquisite dishes prepared and served by area politicians, civic and community leaders. This year’s theme was “Cooking with Southern Riders.”

Event organizers invited all “riders” – like trail riders, motorcycle riders and car/social clubs – to join the ranks of other participating men, women and junior chefs to prepare and share their unique dishes as well. The Cooking Classic is the Foundation’s most successful fund-raising event annually.
