Q&A:
Reader: I have a few holiday parties coming up, and I won’t have hardly any time to change up my look from the office to the party.
What is the best way to look glamorous without having to waste time? Katie: As we enter into the holiday season, I have so many clients asking the same question consistently – How do I take my look from day to night quickly?
1 When transitioning from
day to night in terms of makeup for the holidays, don’t stress and
think you need to go home and take off all the makeup you wore during
the day and start over. Not necessary.

On both Stephanie and Ginny, I added cream products to the cheeks and
lips that give the look a fresh luminous glow. There is a difference
between luminosity and sparkle. Cream products look fresh, effortless
and modern.
3 I added more liner to Ginny’s look and created a smokey eye on Stephanie by adding a dark blue and bronze shadow.
4 Add more concealer under the eyes to make the eyes pop. Be sure to hydrate first so concealer looks flawless.

When transitioning from day to night, you still want to look like
yourself. Find your best feature and work on kicking it up a notch. The
power of makeup still amazes me daily. Live in your own skin.
6 Smile! People may not remember what you said, or how you looked. They will always remember the way you made them feel.
