Survivors, supporters gather for event supporting Komen

A Southern Belle Brunch to benefit the Susan G. Komen Northwest Louisiana affiliate was held June 20 at East Ridge Country Club. Janie Walters served as keynote speaker. She spoke about “Blow a Bubble, Not a Gasket,” offering stress management techniques. CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier was the “I Do Declare” sponsor; Breast Care Specialists and Accucare Medical were next under “Kiss My Grits,” and Fire Tech Systems was the “Lord Willin’ and the Creek Don’t Rise” sponsor. Guests dined on a brunch buffet and also bid on silent auction items.
