Thousands attend ‘Fantasy in Pink’

Fantasy in Pink was the theme of the 22nd annual Pink Party, a benefit for Easter Seals, held May 2 at the Shreveport Convention Center. One man from Chicago said he hasn’t missed the event since 1998. Exhibitors included the Philadelphia Center and Louisiana’s Problem Gambling Helpline. Pink spotlights were shining on the dance floor, and rainbow streamers decorated throughout. The event featured music by DJ Brad and live music by The Moulin Dudes. Tickets were only $10, and more than 1,300 attend. The diverse crowd includes those in simple pink attire to extravagant pink costumes. Numerous corporate sponsors support the event.
