LA. FILM PRIZE
The second-floor media hall at the Robinson Film Center was packed to capacity Aug.15 for the Louisiana Film Prize Top 20 Announcement Party. The Louisiana Film Prize is in its second year and awards $50,000 to the top-rated short film that is produced in Shreveport-Bossier City.

ADVOCARE KICKOFF
Jason Witten, tight end for the Dallas Cowboys, gave his three ideas for greatness at the 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl Kickoff Luncheon held July 17 at the Shreveport Convention Center. He once played in Independence Stadium in a 2006 preseason game. Witten discussed three characteristics of greatness, encouraging people to chase it.
