As many of the outdoor summer performances dwindle, turn to these local restaurants for live music, creative cocktails and comfort food menus no matter what the weather is.

Grace by Nia

60 Seaport Blvd., Boston

This swanky bar and restaurant, from the team behind Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen in the South End, hosts live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The lineup of predominantly Black artists runs the gamut from jazz and funk to R&B. While you’re enjoying the music, order Southern-inspired dishes like shrimp and grits and catfish bites. gracebynia.com

Lou’s

13 Brattle St., Cambridge

The newly opened Lou’s in Harvard Square has a long history of serving up live music as Beat Brewhall and Beat Brasserie. In its new form, the restaurant provides a range of options: sit café-style up close and personal with the performers or snag a booth further into the space to enjoy the music over dinner. The menu offers an array of classics like steak frites, roasted chicken and linguine with clams; the beverage menu has a whole section dedicated to the art of the martini. Catch live music here Thursday through Sunday. wearelous.com

The Beehive

541 Tremont St., Boston

Bostonians have been enjoying live music and a speakeasy feel at The Beehive for nearly 20 years. This subterranean spot hosts musicians almost every night in a range of genres from jazz, swing and Latin to blues and classical. Every Monday night the restaurant hosts a hoedown dedicated to bluegrass and Americana music with a special menu of burgers, ribs, wings and steak. The typical menu pulls on classic American and New England flavors and offers a mix of small bites and larger entrees. beehiveboston.com

Loretta’s Last Call

1 Lansdowne St., Boston

If your music taste leans more Southern, Loretta’s is the place to be. In addition to hosting country music artists and DJs almost every night of the week and serving up fried green tomatoes and hushpuppies, this venue has line dancing on Sunday and Tuesday nights every week. Described as a “honkytonk hoedown” by the restaurant, the evenings have become popular among newbies and expert dancers alike. lorettaslastcall.com

The Bebop

1116 Boylston St., Boston

For a more casual vibe head to The Bebop, a favorite of the students at nearby Berklee College of Music. Enjoy live music seven days a week, including a daily Berklee student showcase at 5 p.m. Or take to the stage yourself at the weekly country open mic night on Tuesdays at 9 or the standard open mic night on Thursdays at 7.
