Last year’s Meet Boston Career Fair drew scores of job seekers.Top hospitality and tourism employers in the region are looking to connect with hundreds of job seekers at Meet Boston’s upcoming annual Regional Career Fair on April 29.
Meet Boston is the primary organization in charge of bringing meetings, conventions and tourism-related business to the region.
As a partnership organization, Meet Boston promotes and collaborates with over 1,000 partners in the greater Boston region and across New England, striving to drive a robust visitor economy and build equity within the sector.
The organization delivers inclusive programs and services that work to enhance the local economy by unifying a range of community stakeholders around the opportunities, experiences, and energy that define the destination and the visitor journey.
The free career fair will take place at the Hyatt Regency Boston from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and registration for the free event is open to all.
The event will kick off with remarks from principal and founder of Conan Harris & Associates, Conan Harris; president and CEO of Meet Boston, Martha J. Sheridan; Meet Boston Board Chair Dan Donahue; president of the Saunders Hotel Group; and other dignitaries.
More than 100 employers participated in last year’s Meet Boston Career Fair and there is an expectation for even more businesses to participate this year, including hotels, restaurants, casinos, entertainment venues, sports teams, destination management companies, tourism and attractions, meetings and conventions, travel and transportation, and more.
Sheridan said that because
workforce development within the tourism and hospitality sector is an
important part of the mission at Meet Boston, it led them to launch
their own career fair four years ago.
“Along
with our partner Conan Harris and Associates, we have created an event
that has become an important recruitment tool for the industry,” she
said.
Some of this
year’s prospective employers include Boston Duck Tours, Boston Hidden
Gems, Lucky Strike Fenway, The Langham Hotel, Mecha Noodle Bar, View
Boston, UMass Amherst, Dnata Catering and more.
“The
opportunities run the gamut from tours and attractions to hotels to
restaurants and more. They also represent multiple neighborhoods in
Boston and other parts of the Greater Boston area and the Commonwealth,”
Sheridan added.
The
event provides job seekers with networking opportunities among top
hospitality and tourism employers to explore exciting career options.
The
fair also welcomes job seekers and students from all levels –
internships, entry-level, full-time and part-time, trade schools,
certificate programs, or colleges.
Attendees
will also have the opportunity to receive free headshots, complete with
complimentary hair and makeup, network with industry professionals,
schedule on-site job interviews, and participate in professional
development workshops: Excelling in Customer Service: Insights from
Hospitality & Tourism Experts, which runs from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15
p.m.; and Charting Your Course: Navigating the Path from Entry-Level to
Leadership in Hospitality & Tourism, which runs from 1:30 p.m. to
2:15 p.m.
For this
year’s career fair, Meet Boston has re-partnered with Conan Harris &

diversity initiatives.
Conan
Harris and Associates (CHA) connects community-based organizations with
partnerships and resources from the nonprofit, private, and public
sectors. As a certified minority business enterprise, they offer a range
of services that bridge the social, economic and racial divide
experienced by disenfranchised communities in health, education, housing
and workforce development.
Their
work fosters inclusion, diversity and social change through services
that include strategic planning, workforce development, community
relations and engagement, executive coaching and training, and capacity
building.
Harris said
that he anticipated that this year’s career fair would be just as
successful — if not more so — than last year’s “record-breaking event,
which drew a remarkable number of professionals seeking their next
career move.”
“Boston’s
vibrant hospitality and tourism sector continues to thrive as the
city’s third-largest industry, and this career fair is one of the many
ways Meet Boston
champions career opportunities and growth for highly qualified
individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds and communities,” he said.
He and his company are excited to partner with Meet Boston again for this event.
“We’re
thrilled to partner again with Meet Boston to host another successful
career fair to connect diverse job seekers with employers actively
seeking to build a more inclusive and representative workforce, offer
networking opportunities and direct interaction to showcase skills and
find opportunities,” said Harris.
He
also said that the career fair allows candidates to showcase their
distinctive perspectives and skills to companies seeking qualified
talent.
“Employers
attending these events are looking for top-notch candidates who can
bring fresh ideas and contribute to an inclusive work environment,” he
said.
Sheridan said
that the time is now to connect prospective employees with our leading
hospitality businesses in Greater Boston as we strive to build more
equity, access and opportunity within the travel industry.
“Workforce
development within the tourism and hospitality sector is part of our
mission at Meet Boston, to ensure our visitor economy remains robust.
The travel and hospitality sector is booming in Greater Boston, and
there are hundreds of open positions to fill, especially heading into
2026 when our region will host major events, including FIFA World Cup
2026, Massachusetts 250 celebrations, Tall Ships, and more,” she said.
The
career fair is free and open to the public, but registration is
encouraged. For more information and to register, please visit meetboston.com/career-fair.
