In the roping arena, hauled and won on both ends and really is a promising gelding on both sides. He has had a lot of different riders/ropers on him and he gets along well with them. Walt can score and lat scoot when you drop your hand, has the rate you need, with a cool move in the corner and across the pen, with a snappy face. On the heeling side, he works on his hocks, lets you see feet, and has been tied onto. Walt carries his head right, rides into the bridle, moves off your leg, but is not too sensitive. Has a smooth gait, a lead change and can turn around. Is a pretty mover with a good ground covering long trot, and a nice collected lope. Outside on the ranch and trails, he will cross water, bridges, logs and is good with a slicker. Rides out alone and walks home, has been used to doctor, sort, gather and brand on.
