Russia ballet

The tradition and beauty of the Russian ballet captivates the audience as the troupe presents the story of Giselle. The ornate imagery, coupled with the graceful movements of the ballerinas, brings the tragic love story of Giselle and Count Alberecht to life. Giselle is considered one of the classic contemporary ballets. It follows Giselle, a peasant from a small village, who unknowingly falls in love with Count Alberecht. Despite his feeling for Giselle, Count Alberecht is betrothed to another.

When Giselle learns about the engagement she takes her own life. Once laid to rest, Giselle’s spirit rises to encounter a group of female ghosts thirsty for revenge. As the events unfold the couple learn about forgiveness and the power of love to transcend death.
