Here they are, those wonderfully talented and delightfully diverse, but in no obvious way amphibious, Pool of Frogs back to present Springfield with a special night containing a full four hours of all original music. The band, Chad Fess (vocals, guitar), Brent Engel (bass), Will Duncan (drums), and Blake Sloane (guitar, keys), likes to have fun and it shows on their Web sites and live on the stage. The rather odd band name references a 4th century, Greek play by Aristophanes which somewhat separates these guys from your average, goofy-named, band-on-the-block. A few weeks ago they knocked out a well-received show at the Metro, one of Chicago’s most revered and respected rock venues.
