Compass for Kids needs your help by voting for the organization to receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm. Starting Tuesday, Aug. 14, U.S. residents who are 18 and older with a valid email address could vote for their favorite cause.

Compass has until Aug. 23 to rally votes and anyone voting is allowed up to 10 votes per day. On Sept. 25, the top 40 vote-receiving causes will be announced and a $25,000 grant will be awarded to each of the affiliated nonprofits.

Compass for Kids encourages everyone in Springfield to vote at bitly.com/compassfeedskids, all 10 votes every day, to support their Backpack Feeding Program and provide food for over 300 students this next year. Compass for Kids is a Springfield nonprofit organization that provides academic and social-emotional support to empower atrisk children and families.

The organization successfully won the State Farm Neighborhood Assist voting competition in 2015 and in 2016. Both years, the $25,000 grant went towards Camp Compass, the organization’s six-week summer learning program for low-income and at-risk elementary students in Springfield District 186.
