In celebration of their years of singing together, Pastor Jerry Jones and The Fantastic Jones Family will perform a 47th anniversary concert at Fresh Visions Community Church, along with gospel vocal group Maurice Yancey and One Accord of Newport News, Virginia. The Jones’ family’s gospel roots go back to the earlier days of New Hope Baptist Church where the church’s choir was comprised of siblings Patricia Pittman, Jerry Jones, Jackie Newman, Clifton Jones and Robert Jones, Jr. Their first CD, By the Grace of God, recorded at Eclipse Studios in Bloomington, was released in 2015. Jerry Jones, now the pastor of Springfield’s New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, says that the group will begin recording soon for a second CD, the release of which is planned for early 2020.
