When this fiery group gets to kickin’ out the jams, look out below as the songs come crashing down like fallin’ rain on a hard-baked highway, Texas country style. Hailing from Stephenville in East Texas, Koe Wetzel (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) takes the band of Andres Rocha (drums), Mason Morris (bass, harmony vocal), Michael Odis Parrish (lead guitar) and Jerrod Flusche (lead guitar) on a countryside romp as a “Texas Rock ‘n’ Roll Band” and you know what that means. The boisterous boys are on a sweet swing up through the Midwest with stops in Madison, Iowa City and Chicago, then hit our hometown before shooting on back to their hometown and a gig at the Melody Mountain Ranch next Friday. Koe’s songs take on some familiar topics with a bit of a twist, including a take on Austin in Austin, a run on drinking in Sober Sunday and doing deeds in Something to Talk About, all with a country crunch of drums and guitar, plus an added taste of twang.
