Coming up from their hometown of Lubbock, Texas, home to several greats in the music business through the years, the Flatland Cavalry are rolling into town to take no prisoners as they proceed to work their way up the cool country music, Americana ladder of success. They’re going at their own speed and own pace, determined to make it on their own terms, calling their stuff “easy on the ears and heavy on the heart,” to give you a general idea of where they come from. Bandleader and chief lyricist Cleto Cordero (lead vocals, guitar) along with Reid Dillon (lead guitar), Jonathan Saenz (bass), Jason Albers (drums, percussion) and Wesley Hall (fiddle) just released a new record in January of 2019 called “Homeland Insecurity” and now are out on tour to make sure the world knows all about what the band is all about. For the next few weeks they’ll be touring through the Midwest, over to the East Coast, then down South on their way back to the Lone Star State.
