The Jewish Federation of Springfield and the Jewish Community Relations Council have made plans to “bring together the Springfield community” to mourn the loss of life at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. The gathering is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Lincoln statue in front of the Capitol. “This will be an opportunity for Springfield residents of all faiths to come together as one in memory and in honor of the victims of violence, anti-Semitism, racism and hate,” the groups said in a press release. “The outpouring of support has been incredible,” said Nancy Sage, executive director of the Jewish Federation. “It is very reassuring.” Questions may be directed to Sage at 217-414- 1295.
