  On Saturday, Oct. 27, join the Kidzeum of Health and Science, the Old Capitol Farmers Market and businesses along Adams Street in downtown Springfield for the first annual “Adams Family Halloween.” The festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. during the Old Capitol Farmers Market’s annual “Halloween at the Market” event featuring complimentary activities such as costume contests for kids, families and dogs plus hands-on activities and trick-or-treating with market vendors. Beginning at 10 a.m. the Kidzeum of Health and Science will offer face painting, spooky science experiments, crafts, demonstrations, a dance party and healthier Halloween treats inside the museum. Also beginning at 10 a.m. Buzz Bomb Brewing Company will host crafts and games for children and a pumpkin bean bag toss, plus a Halloween costume happy hour later in the day. Admission to “Halloween at the Market” is free and the Kidzeum will offer $1 off museum admission to children and adults in costume.
